You have come a long way. You understand how machines learn, how language models work, how to prompt, build, and customise them, and how to use them responsibly. In this final lesson, we turn knowledge into action, with a roadmap, and project ideas.

Your Roadmap
From the video: Your Roadmap
  • You understand the whole picture
  • Knowledge becomes action
  • A roadmap, and projects

A learning roadmap

Here is a roadmap. Stage one, use A I daily, and master prompting. Stage two, learn basic Python, so you can call an A P I. Stage three, build small apps, a chatbot, a summariser, a document search. Stage four, add retrieval, and tools. Stage five, learn evaluation, and monitoring. Stage six, specialise, in agents, in images, in fine tuning, or in your own field. Each stage builds on the last.

  1. 1. Daily use and promptingbuild instincts
  2. 2. Python and APIstalk to models from code
  3. 3. Small appschatbot, summariser, search
  4. 4. Retrieval and toolsRAG and agents
  5. 5. Evaluation and monitoringmake it dependable
  6. 6. Specialiseagents, images, fine-tuning, your field

Project ideas to start today

Start building, because projects teach more than lectures. Make a personal study assistant, that quizzes you. Build a chatbot, that answers questions about a set of your own documents. Create a tool, that summarises long emails, into action items. Build a small image workflow, for your hobby, or business. Or automate a boring task, at work. Pick one, and finish it, even if it is small.

Keep learning

Keep learning, in good company. Follow a few trusted sources, and ignore the noise. Read model release notes, and research summaries. Join a community, where people share projects, and questions. Practise, a little every day. Teach someone else what you learned. And stay curious, and kind, because technology serves people best, when people guide it with care.

Summary

Thank you for learning with me. You started with a simple question, how is this even possible, and you now understand much of the answer. You know how machines learn, how language models predict, and how to prompt, build, customise, and use A I responsibly. Now go and create something. The future of A I, is something we shape, together. Good luck, and happy building.
