You started this course, knowing nothing, and you are finishing it, with a complete application. Ava's shop runs on Python, and you have learned the language, from print, to metaclasses. Python is not a destination, it is a launching pad. Let's look at the paths that open up, and the habits that will carry you further.

  • From print to metaclasses
  • A real application, built by you
  • Python is a launching pad

What you have mastered

Look how far you have come. The basics, variables, types, text, decisions, and loops. Data structures, functions, files, and errors. Object oriented programming, with classes, inheritance, and dataclasses. The Pythonic toolbox, generators, decorators, and context managers. Professional skills, tests, types, logging, concurrency, databases, and packaging.

Choose your path

Python opens many doors. For websites and APIs, learn FastAPI, or Django. For data and science, go deeper with pandas, NumPy, and scikit learn. For artificial intelligence, explore PyTorch, and the large language model tools. For automation, scripting, and DevOps, learn Docker, and cloud tools. And for games and creative coding, try Pygame. You can follow more than one path.

How to keep growing

Build projects, because projects teach more than tutorials. Read other people's code, on GitHub. Contribute to open source, even with small fixes. Write tests, and use type hints, as habits. Practise on small problems regularly. Teach others what you learn, because explaining is the best way to understand. And be patient. Every expert was once a beginner, staring at their first print statement.

Summary

Thank you for learning with me. You began as a beginner, and you now think like a Python developer. Keep building, keep reading, and keep being curious. Ava's shop is thriving, and your journey has only just begun. Now go and write some code. Happy coding.
